MOBILE TANK TESTING

YEAR ROUND TESTING THROUGHOUT ALBERTA, SASKATCHEWAN AND BRITISH COLUMBIA

Depending on your process, we have a variety of dependable tests available to suit your needs. Contact us anytime to discuss how we can help you.

Test Methods

Tracer-Tight Leak Detection

Tracer Gas is injected into the tank and samples are drawn at a later, predetermined date, from small probes installed into the ground.

Pressure Decline

Introduce slight pressure into an isolated tank or piping system, 1-5PSI depending on tank and agreed upon test pressure. Pressure is measured and recorded over 30 minutes, if pressure drops it can indicate a leak

Mass Buoyancy

This test is designed to measure any changes in the buoyancy force acting on a probe inserted into the tank liquid. Buoyancy force only varies as a direct result of a change in the mass of liquid - Can be used in conjunction with the ullage test.

Ullage Test

Tank is isolated and a microphone is placed inside. The background noise is measured, then 2-3PSI of nitrogen is introduced into the tank and leakage can be determined by measuring a change in the background noise.

Helium Leak Detection

Inject helium into the tank or associated piping and trace out the line with a helium detector. Can pinpoint very small leaks underground due the atomic size of the particles that make up helium.
